So, I've been working recently on improving this blog (even if nobody reads it), and I came to the conclusion that the next best thing to do would be to get myself a decent VPS for all my networking and computing needs. At first I was reluctant, since it would mean having to pay an extra each month to be able to run this silly little webpage of mine, but after some thought I realised I would be paying more for electricity and a static IP than I would have to pay for a VPS.

I wasn't entirely alone on this whole process, many people adviced me to sign up to Hetzner and get myself a cloud thingy; and thus, I relented.

Now, I'm quite happy with my VPS. It originally came with an IPv6 address and I was fine with that, but the place where I work can't do IPv6 so I had to get myself the IPv4 address as well, else I might run out of mobile data.

What's new?

So, I'm no longer hosting my website at home, which means I am free to turn off my server more often and Makiimoto-chan will finally get some well deserved rest (until I decide to host something entirely new of course).

What does that mean?

Finally, kazuchijou.com will be available 24/7.

I've also had more time to polish the blog. I've learned more html and css magic and it no longer is the mess that it used to be (I cried while fixing it).

I'm currently working on a secret project that I shall publish when it's ready. I hope you'll find it fun, or at least entertaining.
